Ragna privacy policy

Ragna and its affiliates (collectively, “Ragna”, “us” or “we”) understand that your privacy is important to you. We are committed to respecting your privacy and protecting your personal data, which is any information that is capable of identifying you as an individual person. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle and protect your personal data in connection with Ragna's business activities, like client services, conferences and events, and on sites such as websites, applications, and communications that post a link to this Privacy Policy, in our capacity as data controllers.
01. Collection of your data
Ragna collects personal data in the course of its business activities, including in connection with some client services. Additionally, we collect personal data in our recruitment process and when you contact us via email. We also collect personal data on certain areas of sites when you register to connect with us, create a user profile, request information, book a demo, register for newsletters and alerts, participate in our community, sign up for conferences and events, participate in surveys and/or participate in public user posting areas. The personal data collected varies and may include information that you provide, such as your name, mailing address, e-mail address, telephone number, and background information.

We may also automatically collect information about the devices you use to interact with our sites. The information we automatically collect may include IP address, device identifier, web browser, and browsing information collected through cookies, web beacons, and other similar technologies on our sites. We may also automatically collect information about how you use the sites, such as what you have searched for and viewed on the sites. The information automatically collected may be associated with a unique identifier as well as with any other personal data you have provided.

Ragna may also collect personal data about you from third parties, such as data brokers or aggregators, in the course of its business activities including in connection with some client services and as part of our recruitment process. This includes demographic, professional and other information that is publicly available online, including information you choose to make public through social media platforms and other public online forums. We may combine this data with existing information we have about you or use it independently, for the purposes of our benchmarking and data analytics activities. We will always seek to confirm that the third party has provided transparent information about its use of this data, including its disclosure to third parties like Ragna, in compliance with applicable law.
02. Use of your data
Ragna uses your personal data to fulfil your requests for information, process your requests to participate in conferences and events, personalise content that you view or receive on the sites, distribute newsletters and alerts to you, recruit and evaluate job applicants, evaluate and improve our services, analyse the sites’ performance and functioning, prevent fraud, enforce our terms of use, comply with all applicable laws and corporate reporting obligations, enforce Ragna’s agreements, and accomplish other purposes you may initiate or request. In some situations, the collection of personal data may be required for the operation of the sites, or we may use it in the course of our business activities, including in connection with some client services, for example, to provide certain services or products. We may combine and/or analyse personal data to evaluate and offer content and services most relevant to you. We may keep any of your personal data on file and use it to contact you.

Ragna and its service providers may use first and third party cookies and other tracking technologies, including web beacons, to identify you and your interests, to remember your preferences, to process any requests that you make of us, to manage our sites and our services and collect analytics about how you use them. Ragna and its service providers may collect information about whether you open or click any links in the knowledge, research or event communications that we send to you. The information provided throughout this Privacy Policy about cookies also applies to these other tracking technologies. 

Ragna will not intentionally disclose or transfer (and will take reasonable steps to prevent the unauthorised or accidental disclosure of) your personal data to third parties without your consent or as otherwise permitted by law, whether for such third parties’ own marketing purposes or otherwise, except as follows. Ragna may provide access to your personal data to third party service providers engaged by Ragna to provide services related to the sites as well as related to Ragna’s business activities, including in connection with some client services, in the manner agreed upon in our client services agreements. We maintain processes designed to ensure that any processing of personal data by third party service providers is consistent with this Privacy Policy and protects the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of your personal data.
We also may share your personal data with third party service providers who perform services and functions on our behalf to support our interactions with you, including, for example, processing recruitment materials, administering surveys or contests, or communicating with you.

03. Consent
By using the sites, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your personal data by us in the manner described in this Privacy Policy and elsewhere on the sites. We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will alert you to any such changes by updating this Privacy Policy. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy that increase our rights to use personal data that we have previously collected about you, we will obtain your consent either through an email to your registered email address or by prominently posting information about the changes on our sites.
04. The legal basis by which we process your personal data
Our processing of your personal data for the purposes mentioned above is based:
  • in part, on our legitimate interests in promoting and protecting Ragna, building and maintaining relationships. recruitment, and providing our services;
  • in part, on your consent, for example if you create a user profile, or register for our newsletters or alerts, or for business purposes that support web operations such as understanding and enhancing the quality of your experience on our sites;
  • in part, to comply with the law, when certain information is necessary to satisfy our legal or regulatory obligations.
  • insofar as we obtain the consent of the data subject for processing of personal data, art. 6 §1 GDPR serves as a legal basis.
    • insofar as for processing of the data is in the presence of the consent of the user art. 6 § 1 lit. a GDPR serves as a legal basis.
    • insofar as for the processing of the data transmitted in the course of sending an e-mail art. 6 § 1 lit. f GDPR serves as a legal basis. If the e-mail contact aims to conclude a contract, then additional legal basis for the processing is art. 6 § 1 lit. b GDPR.
    • insofar as processing of personal data is required to fulfil a legal obligation that is subject to our company, art. 6 § 1 lit. c GDPR serves as a legal basis.
    • in the event that vital interests of the data subject or another natural person require the processing of personal data, art. 6 § 1 lit. d GDPR serves as a legal basis.
05. Duration of storage
We delete or block the personal data of the affected person as soon as the purpose of the storage is eliminated. It may also be stored if provided for by the European or national legislator in EU regulations, laws or regulations to which our company is subject. Blocking or deletion of the data also takes place when a storage period prescribed by the standards mentioned expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for conclusion of a contract or fulfilment of the contract.

If you have booked a demo, requested product information or an offer, we reserve the right to store the data for two years to measure the profitability of our sales and marketing. Otherwise, we will delete the data as soon as it is no longer necessary to achieve the purpose of its collection. For the personal data from the input form of the contact form and those sent by email, this is the case when the respective conversation with the user has ended. The conversation is ended when it can be inferred from the circumstances that the relevant facts have been finally clarified.
06. Contact details and inquiries including request for removal
If you would like to make a request to access, review, or correct the personal data we have collected about you, or to discuss how we process your personal data, please contact us at admin@Ragna.io. To help protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity, such as requiring a password and user ID, before granting access to your personal data. We will make reasonable attempts to promptly investigate, comply with, or otherwise respond to your requests as may be required by applicable law. Different laws may prevent us from providing access to your personal data or otherwise fully complying with your request depending upon the circumstances and the request, such as for example, where producing your information may reveal the identity of someone else. We reserve the right to charge an appropriate fee for complying with your request where allowed by applicable law, and/or deny your requests where they may be manifestly unfounded, and/or excessive, or otherwise objectionable or unwarranted under applicable law.

07. Definitions
Our privacy policy is based on the terms used by the European legislator under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Our privacy policy should be readable and understandable to the public, but also to our customers and business partners. For extra explanation some central terms are explained as follows.
Personal data
Personal data is all information about a specific or identifiable natural person, i.e an affected person. An identifiable natural person is a person that can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or one or more specific physical, physiological, genetic, mental characteristics, economic, cultural or social identity of this natural person.

Affected person
An affected person is any identified or identifiable natural person whose personal data is processed by the controller.

Processing
Processing is any process or set of operations performed on personal data or personal data, whether automated, recorded, organised, structured, stored, adapted or changed, accessed, consulted, used, transmitted, disseminated or otherwise made available, directed or combined, restricted, deleted or destroyed.

Data Controller
Responsible for processing is the natural or legal person, public authority, agency or other body which, alone or in concert with others, determines the purposes and means of processing personal data; where the purposes and means of such processing are determined by the Union or Member State law, the controller or the specific criteria for their designation may be determined by the Union or Member State law.

Third Party
Third parties are natural or legal persons, authorities, agencies or bodies other than the data subject, the controller, the processor and persons authorised to process personal data under the direct supervision of the controller or the processor.

Consent
The consent of the data subject is any free, specific, informed and unambiguous presentation of the data subject’s wishes, by which they declare their consent to the processing of the personal data concerning them by means of a declaration or a clear affirmation.

Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that can be stored on and accessed from your device when you visit one of our sites, to the extent you agree. The other tracking technologies work similarly to cookies and place small data files on your devices or monitor your website activity to enable us to collect information about how you use our sites. This allows our sites to recognize your device from those of other users of the sites. 

Web beacon
A web beacon is a graphic image, which is placed on a website or in an email that alone or in conjunction with cookies compile information about your usage of or your interaction with a Ragna website or email.
